| Is Christ Your Ark?
Do you seek shelter from the storm or do you stand in the rain? When hard times come into your life do you seek Christ for your shelter, or do you just work through the problems on your own and never seek that shelter? Just as the ark was a safe place for Noah, his family, and all the animals; Christ can be your ark in the tough times.
You see, in the time of Noah the world has become corrupt so corrupt that all mankind has totally forgotten about God. But God loves his creations so much that the peoples actions caused God pain as stated in Genesis 6:6 “The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.” This is where Gods Love abounds. He loves us so much that your sinning actions cause his heart great pain. The only pain that can be felt when something you love so much turns on you.
This made God so upset that he said in Gen 6:7 "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them."
But there was one man…. One man who God looked upon with favor his name was Noah. Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord because he was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time and he walked with God. So he decides to save the one man who truly believes in him He found that man who was blameless and righteous in his eyes to save mankind.
Sounds familiar doesn’t it... Do you know any other man that was righteous and blameless in the eyes of God? Do you know any other man since Noah that walked with God? I do and he is my ark… His name is Jesus, Immanuel, and the true Son of God. I wonder do you know him.
You may say to yourself so what does this have to do with Noah and the story of the ark and the great flood? Let me show you how Jesus and the Ark have a lot in common and how the story of the flood has prophetical connections with the life of Christ.
As we read over the story of Noah and the flood in Genesis 6-7 it is easy to see the connections between the likeness of Jesus and the purposes the ark carried out for Noah and all that were living on that ark.
Using the NIV translation of Genesis 6-7 the first thing I see is how bad the world has now become. Genesis 6:5 states “The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.” The world in Noah’s time was an evil world even the thoughts in mans heart was evil and his ways were wicked. Sound familiar doesn’t it…. Fast forward to 2009 and you watch the news and all you get is a taste of the violence and mayhem in today’s world. Wicked actions against each other man killing man for no good reason. It doesn’t sound any different from those days of old does it? God’s heart is in pain as it was back then and has promised to return again to give final judgment on the people of this earth and finally rid us of all evil.
As you read along God tells Noah to build this really big boat. He gives incredible detail on how to build it with 3 internal decks and many rooms and only 1 door. All this grandeur and space but there is only one way into the ark. Boy doesn’t this sound like the description of heaven given by Jesus in John 14:2-4? “In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."
Isn’t Jesus much like that? He has room all of us in his heart he has a place already prepared much like the Ark was pre prepared for all the animals to be saved.
Then in Genesis 6:18 God does something spectacular with Noah. He makes a covenant with him. A covenant as defined by Webster’s is a binding agreement. God makes this agreement with Noah to keep him and all that are inside safe in that ark; safe from the turmoil outside and safe from the torrential rains and waters coming from the earth.
God loves us so much that he inspired the passage John 3:16 to be given to us as the greatest covenant of hope. This covenant is the same promise that He gave to Noah so many years ago to keep us safe in times of trouble for Noah it was that big ark but for us thousands of years later it is the hope of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ our Ark or safety from the storm. It is Jesus that we cling to in times of trouble. It is Jesus’ death on the cross that opens that doorway to eternal life. It is Jesus who will carry us in the turmoil and floods of life. And it is Jesus that will be there when we finally come to the dry lands of heaven to greet us as we enter into our final reward.
As we look further in Genesis 7 we come to verse 16 which I find interesting. The last sentence says that God shut the door on the ark. Not Noah but God. From the looks of things and visualizing how big the ark is there was no way that mankind could ever close that huge door on the ark that was the job for God. Much like Jesus; God closed the door to hell and eternal destruction through Jesus death and resurection. He keeps us safe within his Son who is our Noah. As Jesus stated in John 10:9 “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.” And it is Jesus who is the only door to God there is no other way in. As all those animals had to go through the door to get into the safety of the ark, we must go through Jesus to enter into the safety of heaven.
So let me ask you once more. Is Christ your Ark? Did you enter into Gods love through the door which is Jesus the Christ? Or Are you on the outside clinging and begging for entrance?
Do you seek him for safety when the floods of life come? Or do you ridicule him?
My dear freinds, let Christ be your Ark, enter into God’s presence through His Son. Believe on him and keep following the advice from Jesus "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Go in Gods Peace…And Serve your King. |
| Mission Trip 2009 This year we went to the mountains of North Carolina, this is a place where most of the people are living in poverty and need help.
We stayed at Camp Lynn Haven and met up with approximately 120 other people and young adults representing 7 other states in our nation. here we worked with Habitat for humaninity, Crossnore School and Yellow mountain people to enrich their lives through servant hood in the habitat or by offering a VBS program for the kids at Crossnore. Finally we got to enrich the lives or should I say we got our lived enriched by the friendliness and unconditional love by the Yellow mountain people of North Carolina.
Trinity Tech Support will strive to use the gifts given to us by Our Lord and Savior and faithfully administer them to whomever God provides.

| Merry Christmas
A Wonderfull Christmas Promise
As I sit here listening to all of the wonderful Christmas music I tend to get this saddening feeling deep inside. For I know this wonderful birth that we celebrate is a fulfillment of a promise made to us long ago. Although I am saddened by the fact that I am a lowly sinful being that because of my sins and all of the sins committed on a daily basis by all the people of this world today and back to the dawn of time, this child must go and do what was prophesied. In Isaiah 53:5 “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
For this innocent child has such a large task in front of him, this little babe lying in a manger must grow up and take the punishment for all that we have done against God. That makes me saddened that this child has to suffer for our unrighteousness. In my minds eye that just isn’t fair. But we can not save our selves we need a Savior to help us out. A Savior to blot our sin stained souls clean again.
But on the other side of this it is a joyous occasion. We are presented with a Savior! Christ our King! But yet he is not an earthly king like so many were expecting, no he is a spiritual King one to save and rule our souls. Yet so small and helpless this little human child is the Savior of the world… But yet silently He comes into this world for all of us. Not with the loud shouts of Joy and the grandeur of the earthly kings of that day but silently in a stable he came to us.
This baby is True God and now true man now come down from heaven to be with us. Imagine that! Our God wanted to be with us, to walk with us, talk with us, to teach us then finally die for us. God’s love is so great that he did all of this for us sinful unworthy humans.
Now let us look into the prophecies that foretold this great event. Jesus’ birth was foretold in many places in the Old Testament. Books like Genesis, Isaiah, and Micah have a lot to tell us of the fore coming Savior.
The first thing that comes to mind is in the book of Isaiah which was actually Jesus’ favorite book. For through out his ministry you will often find him quoting directly from this book. Isaiah has foretold Jesus coming 700 yrs before he was born. In chapter 9:6 Isaiah wrote “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” He even knew that Jesus was going to be born of a virgin according to Isaiah 7:13-16 and in chapter 53 it is foretold that God will come and pay the price for our sins and misdeeds. Micah 5:1-5 gives the in Israel and Judah a speck of hope as written” Marshal your troops, O city of troops, for a siege is laid against us. They will strike Israel's ruler on the cheek with a rod. "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times."
Therefore Israel will be abandoned until the time when she who is in labor gives birth and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites. He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth. And he will be their peace.”
Wow what a promise! But yet even these promises were told thousands of years ago we can still rejoice because these promises have been fulfilled as promised and we have the knowledge that by the suffering death and resurrection of your Lord Jesus the Christ we can now live in that peace as promised in v5 because He is our peace.
In Genesis 3:15 there is one simple statement, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." This tells us of how God will make mankind satan's enemy throughout all time and how God put fear in satan to fear the offspring of the woman who will crush satans head. My friends Christ took care of that promise years later when he died on that cross finally crushing satans blows and sealing the doors of hell forever to those who look onto that cross and believe.
Friends,
Let us all take time this Christmas season to examine ourselves as we come before that little child lying lowly in the manger and remember what he has come to do for us and remember throughout the year to do your best and serve your King! For he came for you and I to give us peace!

| Juarez Mission Tip Final Thoughts I am finally back and fully into the swing of things again. But the images of poverty, lost souls and general lack of support by the Mexican government still haunt me. This 4th of July was special to me because I finally got a glimpse of why people want to be part of the American culture. we have such immense freedoms that one just cant imagine what we have unless you do leave the US and travel into such poverty stricken countries. Because of these haunting images I prayed for help to be able to show others what exactly I saw and how people are actually living and how great the work is that Casa Por Cristo is doing and how they are changing the hearts of people both in Juarez and those who come and build for their sponsored families. So I made a simple video to show all of you. The song that God provided me was Hold Me Jesus by Big Daddy Weave his song basically asks Jesus to hold me because this is a big scary world and I am not to sure of what is going to happen to me. But with Jesus on our side holding our hand and giving us a great big hug when we are scared we are able to face these things in life no mater how long we must endure the things of this earth. If you want to download this movie and keep it for yourself click on the format you want below or simply watch the movie provided by You Tube. Hold Me Jesus (Juarez 2008)
